I spent two hours clearing out the weeds but did not have the strength to pick the piles up for disposal Some of the concrete trash containers are emptied, when we let you know, while others overflow with garbage and dead ducks. Please add more trash containers around all areas of the lake and consider posting some signs asking people to not litter contrast here seems to be a disconnect with how to properly care for this beautiful resource that Birmingham has -

Birmingham, AL 35205-Valley View Park-Citizen reports that all park facilities are a mess, not clean, trash everywhere, no receptacles empty or in good condition, bathrooms with dirty toilets u clogged, sinks equally, or without water. In the park there is a lack of light at night, it is with high weeds and there is no care at all; and the list is almost endless. He has children and has to avoid going because he fears his children will get sick, hurt, and not be safe. He calls the attention of the department in charge.

Namely remove large sections of trees and branches that have fallen and clear the leaves from the gutter and street near the bottom of the park. The neighbors several years ago asked the city to stop mowing and raking and we have been happy with that but need occasional help with the big items. We look after the park and want to continue doing that with occasional help from the city for large items. -

The wooden stairs are falling apart and hazardous, but people still walk them anyway. The railings have fallen off and there are damaged/missing steps. This is a great park and would be enjoyed by the residents around if the wooden stairs were fixed. There is also a lot of trash here that people leave behind. -
