    The junky van is still there as of Friday (may 3). Don't know if anyone's inside, so it might just be an abandoned vehicle. In any case, it should be checked out. BTW, Texas law requires a front and rear license plate. This vehicle doesn't have a front plate.

    Here is a Tuesday morning update on the junky van. It now has the hood open. The front end is on jacks. I'm hoping this is, indeed, just a starter issue. However, I also recall how many junk vehicle owners use the ploy of waiting-for-parts to extend car camping for weeks on end. Thanks for keeping an eye on this. Still, you can use license-plate violations as an incentive to encourage moving to an appropriate camping area. BTW, the blotter had an item Friday: 7:19 a.m. "A man in a sleeping bag was in the street at East Second Avenue and 14th Street." Could be the same person? Either way, not good.

    Abandoned vehicle since at least 4/30. Driver seen parking and walking out of neighborhood at that time, no one has returned since.

    Mr. Smith indicated that the red honda's owner said the vehicle was in use. I walk that area 3-4 times per day, 7 days per week. That vehicle has not moved. The city ordinance requires it be moved every 24 hours or gets a green tag. just because the owner says it's in use doesn't mean it's being moved. So, now on the 8th day. perhaps the city manager, chief of police and mayor need to know that city employees enforce city ordinances at their discretion.

    Came and removed green abandoned vehicle tag that was placed today 5/11. Still failed to move the vehicle. It is regularly parked for over 10 days in this spot with zero movement. It’s been there at least that long this time.

    As you enter the river trail, there needs to be a sign that says "DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH". Too many dog owners think it's OK to have their dogs can be off leash.
