Description

Well-meaning woman feeds waterfowl regularly with buckets of feed. Many people have tried telling her that this is more harmful than good, to no avail. This is creating a nuisance with the defecation, bullying of walkers by geese, and health risk to children. An increase in the rodent population is obvious with the readily available food. Not to mention that all of the waterfowl defecation makes the weeds grow in the pond. NYS DEC considers this harmful, and many communities levy a fine to those feeding waterfowl, including Saratoga Springs https://ecode360.com/6519210#:~:text=Any%20person%20who%20violates%20any,of%20%2450%20for%20each%20offense.
