Description

The intersection at 43rd St and Shafter is a 2-way stop, and it needs to be a 4-way stop. This is a daily drop-off / pick-up zone for Park Day School, and last week there was a serious crash between an Oakland Tech student and a nanny dropping off a child at Park Day School. No one was hurt, luckily, but a 4-way stop would make this intersection much safer. I live at the corner (403 43rd St) and I worry about my toddler eventually crossing the street.
