Description

On the property 8125 Leesville Road, there is a very large oak tree near the road – to the left of the driveway as you stand facing the property. The base of the huge oak tree is right near a creek/runoff and with the storm yesterday, the tree has started to lean towards the road. When I walked past there today, I was surprised to see so many branches near the sidewalk and road. This is a huge, tall tree and if it fell in the direction it is leaning, it would fall across Leesville Road, blocking traffic. The school is right there – many students walk by, school athletes run by on a loop around the school, and busses travel on Leesville all morning and afternoon.

I am attaching a photo – I couldn’t take one that showed the size of the tree or the degree of lean – too many branches blocking. I would appreciate it if someone would have the tree looked at and removed if it is a danger to the community.

The property is owned by a church and is currently vacant. There is not an easy to find local contact or I would have reached out to them directly.
