i ITOTALLY AGREE WITH THE SSENDER. i WOULD SUGEST THAT YELLOW RUBBER MARKERS BE PLACED ON THE YELLOW LINES THAT EXTEND OUT AWAY FROM THE CURB TO INDICATE THERE IS NO u TURN I KNOW THARE ARE ALREADY SIGNS THERE BUT THE MARKERS WOULD MAKE IT MORE DIFFICULT TO MAKE THE TURN THANKS fRANK bAKER

Thanks for watching this deathly problem. I live in this area and have to use these turns daily. It is safer to go to the junction (Wachovia ) and make a u-turn if you need to go south on Hwy 421. At least 4x a week I see people making the illegal turn, a lot of those turns are intentional. There are still a few who have told me that they did notknow you can't turn there, including my best friend who comes to church every Sunday in this area. ALso the woman I followed to the Goodwill who was visiting from Italy and thanked me for making her aware. I guess folk just get paid to make up something new; when the regular movement of letting the lanes going in same direstion move together. And worst is trying to merge as you travel south in the junction and all of a sudden there is a red stop light and folk screeching to a stop. I don't thik this will happen on Wrightsvile Beach Rd. But I heard tht they are getting ready do do something like this on College. WOE IS ME and us. The state and county could make a lot of money if they just paid an officer to sit in an unmarked car and wach this area about 5hrs a day.

I have called the sheriffs department and explained the issue to them and they said they didn't have enough people to monitor that. If they had two people watching the area...one to watch and one to drive after them....man they could make a lot of money for just one hour in a day. The Wilmington police set up one of those points on Market Str. and 5th (by the fountain)a few years ago and they ticketed quite a few people.

Well...it's been since 2010 that I reported this and NOTHING has happened. People continually make that U turn as I am making the right turn out of the post office and all I get is the "finger" from people when I beep at them. Oh well....I hope no one gets seriously injured at that intersection. At least we tried.

I see that they changed the lights at that intersection going in and going out but drivers don’t pay attention to them. Someone made a right turn even tho the sign says NO RiGHT on RED. 3 cars ahead of me made u turns. A disaster waiting to happen.

People are still making an illegal u-turn and turning right on red as they come out of the post office. Can’t they read the big signs or do people choose not to follow the rules?
