Thank you for taking the time to report this issue. The Officer for this area will investigate the address. Please know in order for this to be a violation there needs to be a considerable amount of trash/debris in the yard. An Officer also must observe the violation as it sits, so if the debris is removed before an officer can investigate, we are unable to begin a violation case. If there is a violation, we will make contact with the occupants and inform them of their rules and regulations regarding debris in the yard.

What is your definition of "a considerable amount of trash and debris?" And an officer has to "observe the violation as it sits?" Hmmmm....can't he/she just drive by and look at it and if it is considered in violation, just walk up to the door, and tell them to clean up their trash?

It seems to me that if a homeowner cares enough to contact the city, the issue should be acted upon, if at all possible. I don't think anyone filing a complaint does it lightly and if the trash is offensive, the offenders should be asked to remove it. That way the case is closed in a very timely manner. Period.

There was no violation found at 101 Anderson. A Case has been started at 107 Anderson and the officer has spoken with the occupant and has informed them to contact Sanitation for an extra pick up. We will post updates here as they become available.
