Description
One way to fix the issue of people speeding up to make (or run) red lights is to coordinate the traffic lights along major streets (such as Chapel) better. Can we adopt Tokyo's automated system, or something similar?

Thank you for bringing this up. It's completely maddening to have to stop. at. every. single. block.
Even when I'm heading to work at 6 a.m., I sit at each light, watch the light ahead of me turn green, and turn red by the time I reach it.
I keep reading on this site that New Haven drivers somehow more reckless than drivers in other cities. I just don't believe it. The lack of coordination and sensors at intersections makes drivers more inclined to speed up as they reach intersections. The lights are causing the bad behavior.
