Description

The current 4-way stop creates heavy traffic congestion, especially after office hour in the afternoon. This seems not a problem several years ago but now, more traffics are using this route with many new developments around this area. It needs a traffic light to reduce congestion.

There is a pending City of Raleigh Annexation and Rezoning Case with the Planning Commission. A traffic study for a new development in this are was deemed unrequired. I highly disagree with this. With 7 schools in the area (including the new one by CVS at Strickland) traffic is a nightmare for neighborhoods that have no outlet (dead end).

If a light is introduced at this intersection, it needs to revert to a 4-way flashing red during non-commuting hours, as there is very little traffic at this intersection at other times and would create undue delays for traffic waiting for green lights at those times.
