This is the 2nd report of homeless occupying an abandoned new construction facility at 2970 Summit St. This was similarly reported on 12/19/2020. The building continues to be occupied as evidenced by very loud yelling and screaming from 5am-8:30am on 2/16/21 along with banging of trash bins(?) at 1:30am on 2/17/21. I understand homeless need shelter from the cold weather, but I do not agree that it is safe to allow this clearly unregulated situation. As I read about the continued fires at unoccupied spaces, I am VERY concerned a fire at this unattended construction site /new building will result in a fire that will quickly result in mine going up in flames (the new building was allowed to be built up against ours and people go on the deck & are within 10’ of me). In fact, three decks have a clear line of sight into my living room, & kitchen.
