    105 Spring Glen Ter Hamden, Connecticut, 06517 - Spring Glen
    The storm drain at the corner next to 105 Spring Glen Terrace is completely blocked and causes flooding over a wide area whenever we get substantial rain. I realize this issue was reported two years ago, but it's still an issue! This drain needs more than a simple, superficial cleaning.

    Nine street lamps are out between 238 Prospect and the intersection of Prospect and Edwards. Five are on the East side of Prospect and four are on the West side. I wrapped 2" wide blue masking tape around each pole at about eye level.

    204 Prospect St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Prospect Hill
    Two street lights are out. The first is on the West side of Prospect Street right in front of #204 Prospect. It is right next to a parking kiosk. The second is directly across the street and about 30 feet North (uphill), also right next to a parking kiosk. I couldn't find a number on either lamppost.

    Almost every weekday morning, cars are parked heavily on the Southbound side of Whitney between about Linden and Lawrence Streets well before 9 am. These illegally parked cars substantially slow traffic and create a dangerous situation in which cars will suddenly switch from the right-hand lane to the left lane. This situation has existed for many years, but has recently gotten substantially worse. A few rounds of ticketing should change people's habits as I suspect the same people are violating the rules day after day.

    At 3:30 pm on Thursday, January 19, I was parking on Grove Street in an area without meters but that had a ParkMobile machine (#55135). Unfortunately, when I pressed Start it advised me to use another machine. That was the only machine for that zone (block) so there was no way to park legally.

    230 Prospect St New Haven, Connecticut, 06511 - Prospect Hill

    The two street lamps heading toward the Prospect-Sachem garage just south of 230 Prospect Street are broken. The one of the left flickers (it's out most of the time) and the one on the right is out all of the time. I could not find a lamp number on either light. The photo shows the view looking south on Prospect Street at approximate #230.

    Parking meter #39317 wasn't working on April 19. There was no light or text in the window and nothing happened when I inserted a credit card.

    Meter would not accept quarters. I inserted two but they stopped going in before time was added. This was on Jan 13, so it's possible the problem has already been reported/fixed. (Sorry for the delay.)

    Just in case this issue hasn't already been addressed, on December 21, 2021, parking meter #28222 on the North side of Sachem Street seemed to be broken. No text showed up in the display, and nothing happened when I put in a quarter.

    832-898 Whitney Ave Town of Hamden, CT, 06517, USA - Hamden

    Although New Haven allows street parking on the Northbound side of Whitney (except during the afternoon rush hour), my understanding is that Hamden does not allow on-street parking on the Northbound side of Whitney beginning at the border with New Haven. Nevertheless, there are about 2-4 vehicles parked between the border with New Haven and East Rock Park Road every afternoon. These vehicles present a hazard as cars rapidly merge from two lanes to one. Moreover, these illegally parked cars slow traffic significantly during the afternoon rush hour.

    I have two suggestions to fix this situation:

    1) Add one or two street signs indicating that parking is not permitted.

    2) Start ticketing these vehicles.
