Let's start with a question everyone knows the answer to: What do you call a person who throws an unwanted plastic bag full of paper in your front yard?

Among some ruder epithets, I call that a litterer.

One more: What do you think would happen to me if I went down to city hall and dumped my paper and plastic bags in the courtyard every week?

I would probably get a ticket for littering!

Now, my complaint is the LSJ makes this so-called community newspaper and someone drives up my street every week and chucks this bag of trash on every front lawn. I called the LSJ to opt-out of this. It's obvious, though, that few people call and practically no one wants this garbage because my neighborhood -- ahmm, community -- looks like a tornado aftermath site with countless orange plastic bags in front yards and in the street.

This is irresponsible of the LSJ. It's fine if they want to pay people to deliver a free paper, but delivery should be an opt-in process, not opt-out. I think my neighbors are discouraged because they often just chuck the trash in the street.

I am appealing to the good folks in the city to tell the LSJ this is unacceptable and they need to stop.

    Hello All,
What actions can be taken to reduce speeding on my street? This is a residential neighborhood with kids and pets. The limit is 25 MPH. Some vehicles (I could describe a few) drive way too fast.
