Might want to go earlier than 3:30 or 4am. Usually between 11pm and 2am

I checked the area on 09/02/2023 and I parked in the intersection for approximately 1 hour. I saw one vehicle drift around the corner, so I issued the driver a citation and I impounded his vehicle for 30 days. I will continue to monitor the area as time permits.

Thank you Officer Culver. We live above this intersection and the smell from the tires burning carries across all the homes and is noxious at times. If our garage or windows are open, the fumes fill our living spaces. Not to mention after midnight on school and work nights with some of the loudest engines i've ever heard that rattle the block. We appreciate you being here.

I extra patrolled the area on 9/24/23 for approximately an hour and I did not see any vehicles commit any violations. I will continue to monitor the area as time permits.

Conducted enforcement on 11/10/2023 at 9:45pm. Two citations were issued for vehicles not stopping at the stop sign.

Correction to last comment. Two citations were issued for vehicles not coming to a complete stop at the intersection (flashing red lights).

Conducted enforcement on 12/15/23 from 1500-1800. One citation issued and two warnings given for other unrelated violations. No donuts or reckless driving observed.

On 01/24/2024 I conducted a check of the area for approximately 20 minutes at 7:00pm and did not locate any suspects. On 01/24/2024 at I conducted a check of the area for approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes at 11:51pm. I did not locate any suspects or violators and will continue to check the area as time permits.

This issue appears to be more occasional than chronic as no violations have been observed after several checks. Please call our non-emergency number at 619-691-5151 should you observe similar activity in the future. This issue is now closed.
