Description

As a current resident in the NoDa area, nothing has become more familiar than the unwelcoming sound of bustling engines and skidding rubber on N Brevard St near 25th St Station. Inattentive drivers have little regard for the current 25 mph speed limit, nor the stop sign at 25th St station. This creates an outstanding safety hazard for pedestrian network users who cross 25th St to access the light rail and/or paved trail alongside it. As NoDa continues to develop in the coming years, it will be important to address driver speeds and pedestrian safety along the way. More law enforcement and traffic control devices like speed bumps should be implemented to create a safer space for NoDa residents.
