  • 3808 Six Forks Rd Raleigh, NC, 27609, USA - Six Forks
Gravel over some sort of asphalt failure or repair located on Industrial Drive near Entrance to Wegman's, close to Six Forks Road East. The area is flat, but driving over it there is some kind of metal or concrete bump that is not visible to the eye and that bounces car and sounds like it is damaging tires. Right in middle of street, cannot avoid because cannot see what the damage is under the gravel.

second request. first report was closed w/out fixing. I just drove through the pothole again. It is hard to see and therefore difficult to avoid and is slightly larger now. near corner of Medway and Lowden, across street from Joyner School. If you can't see it, turn onto Lowder from Medway and drive down right side of street, you will hit it almost immediately. Please fix it before it damages a car.

2000 Wake Forest Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Five Points
Light in need of reprogramming. When traveling west on Whitaker Mill Road to cross Wake Forest Road, light will turn green and after about 5 seconds of green, people traveling east and turning left onto Wake Forest Road will travel through light after cars traveling west are already going straight into intersection to cross Wake Forest Road or are turning right onto W Forest. I have had 4 near misses and have observed several cars in front of me having near misses. This started about 1-2 months ago. I have traveled the intersection several times a day for 7 years, and I have not observed this in the past.

Royster Drive Raleigh, NC North Carolina - Five Points
    Destruction of property
Friday, 2/23/18 at approximately 4:00 pm, a group of 4 people who appeared to be teenagers decided to use the 2 door jeep in which they were riding to “mud out” on Royster St, not once but twice. City staff had just delivered 2 dump trucks of dirt to fill in the already deep ruts, one city worker spent Thursday spreading it out. A female was driving until she let the male drive in the mud. A resident in the neighborhood also saw them on Oxford doing the same thing. Image attached. The photo came from next door, but there are no images of the license plate.

2600 Oxford Raleigh, North Carolina - Five Points

For weeks there has been drilling into rock at a subdivision of spec homes being developed at the corner of Oxford and Dunhill. Correction. City project engineer isaid the developer is adding sewer lines. The work went on for a couple of weeks, then the noise abated somewhat. Today it is back with fury. Loud early in the morning, still loud until 6 p.m.

Today we are told by a neighborhood resident: It appears they have taken up the new manhole and are doing something, probably deepening the hole for the new manhole. Then the manhole will be set again. This is all related to sanitary sewage, not stormwater or water supply.

The question - are there any regulations relating to construction noise during the day?

  • Wake Forest Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Blount Corridor
State has patched the huge potholes on North Blount. Now some of the potholes on Wake Forest Road are expanding. They are mostly in right lane near Watkins Grill and in the area near Mimosa. I have already ruined 2 tires on N. Blount. I imagine this is maintained by the State not the City but am not sure.
