This is seriously a major issue. As a parent of a Highland student, I'm embarrassed by some of these jerks. Plus it doesn't help that an ice cream truck CONSTANTLY park near the school, further blocking traffic and taking up parking spaces. I have personally spoken to the previous and current principals, as well as the current PTO president to try to get people to stop this. Blocking and even parking in people's driveways is rude, and the double parking makes it dangerous for the kids. There's no room on Ensign for effective drop off and pick up of all the kids, so many do use Nebraska. With limited to no busing, more parents have to drive now, too. We need both the district and traffic control to help solve this problem, because the PTO is limited in their scope and no one seems to be listening to the recordings the principals send out via phone every week mentioning this problem.

Same problem at Hogan in the mornings... Rude drivers.. U-turns across two lanes over a double yellow line, no turn signals, just cutting people off that have the right of way.. Great way to teach your kids some class Vallejo. SMH

Thanks for reporting! I have forwarded this concern to the Police Department for their review. The Public Works Department repainted the red zones, but has no enforcement capabilities. Thanks again for using SeeClickFix!
