Hello. At any part of Fifth Street, there is garbage, furniture, tires, toilet bowls, toys, picture frames, etc., just about all the time. We suffer from more refuse than in any other part of Vallejo. Since it's been noted that there is an unusual amount of refuse almost the entire length of Fifth Street from Solano Ave to Lemon Street everyday, could more attention to Fifth Street areas be considered & cleaned up?? The homeless campers know to settle in South Vallejo because very little attention is given to this area of Vallejo. This is sinful, disgusting & disgraceful. Homeowners pay taxes here, as well. Other areas in Vallejo have refuse also. But, it's nothing like in South Vallejo. It's a know fact that the reuse is more frequent, remains longer in the streets, separates & spreads into peoples' yards & into our beautiful park like no other places in Vallejo. Since it's known to be a highly likely place to have refuse of huge amounts almost everyday, I don't think a weekly sweep of Fifth Street would be too unreasonable. The rats & rodent population won't necessarily remain just in South Vallejo because of the filthy refuse dumped here. The rats & rodents will spread out to contaminate other areas of a 'cleaner' Vallejo if the continued practice of allowing this filthy garbage to remain for months at a time in South Vallejo streets isn't addressed more frequently. There are ways to discourage trashing a neighborhood. You guys have the smarts, resources & power to discourage and control this type of unwanted & unwelcome behavior. Please help us to keep South Vallejo clean. Thank you.
