Grace K is TERRIBLE. Cars fly down this street because going slow is torturous. A dirt road would almost be better. Cars are swerving to avoid large patches of previous fixes and swerving back to dodge eachother coming around curves. "Bump, rattle, shake, jerk, bump". The condition of this road is inexcusable. Grace K and Percy King are both in the same condition.
Because Grace K is a sub-local road (subdivision street), Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) policy is that property owners along the road must pay for resurfacing through a special assessment district, which must be agreed to by more than 50 percent of the property owners along the street.
If you are interested in pursuing a special assessment district paving project, please contact the Road Commission's Subdivision Improvement and Development Division at (248) 645-2000, ext. 2270. SID Division staff would be happy to explain the process to you and then assist you with the process.
Short of repaving, about the only thing the Road Commission can do is to continue to patch the potholes on the street.
To report potholes or other problems, please contact the Road Commission Department of Customer Services at 877-858-4804.
it needs to be patched AGAIN. There are so many holes...it horrible. There is an enormous hole at the corner of Grake K and Percy King. My neighbor blew a tire on it going slow .... so I'm sure many other have as well...
