Thanks for using the Greenway and your concerns. The lake is a Wake County sediment control lake and is designed to collect the sediment so it does not move down stream.

This issue has been closed. If the problem persists, please re-open this issue and give us more detailed information on how to identify the location of the problem - then we will get right on it. Thanks a lot for reporting!

I understand that it is sediment control but this lake has been here for years. The stench and decreasing water level from all the sediment is creating a filthy mess. Last summer less people were using the greenway due to the stench and people could not fish in the lake because of the slime. Closing this issue by simply saying it is a sediment collector is a COP OUT
