I'm in Woostwr Square and have been having problems with the mail delivery for a while now. Some items I don't get. Some I get extremely late. It's caused problems with bills and with missing invitations or getting them after the event! So we have a New mail carrier? I am never home to see.

Thanks @ChapelSt! This is helpful. The guy I met delivering mail on Saturday and today was someone I have not seen before, so it would seem to be someone new. I will call the post master and hope you can too.

@Guest I appreciate your comment, and the problem will be addressed with the post master, but this is not for the city. My hope was to find out from neighbors if they are experiencing the same problems.

I have never lived in a city with such horrible mail service... and I've lived in a lot of cities. The mail delivers here are atrociously lazy.

Well, I can verify that we have been having an absolute blizzard of wrongly delivered mail on Court street. We routinely get three or four wrong pieces of mail a week now and we likewise do NOT receive mail we are expecting. I have never experienced anything like this utter incompetence from the post office and I am at a loss.

I'm afraid I dropped the ball and have become complacent. The mail issue is still happening though. I had to cancel and reorder a credit cart because it didn't show within the 7-10 days. I received a party invitation on the day the party was happening! I was terrified my new passport wasn't going to show, but it was sent priority thank god. I'm not sure why this is happening. Is it the mail carrier? Or is it really a problem of sorting before he gets it? It is a big problem when time sensitive material is not delivered on time!

This is becoming a really extreme problem. And when I do give misdelivered mail back to the current carrier, he just shrugs and obviously thinks this is pretty normal. I have really lost patience--this is NOT normal and there are real privacy and financial hazards here.

Please call your local Postmaster and indicate this thread to 203-782-7011. Hopefully the problems will clear up soon.

Seems to be getting better after a call to the Postmaster. It can be re-opened if others continue to have problems.
